Key Insights from the Conference
- Access is both an execution and a pricing challenge. Payers are tightening UM, PA, site-of-care controls, and affordability scrutiny, so brands need stronger pull-through systems, not just sharper access strategy.
- Direct-to-Patient (DTP) is becoming a serious commercialization pathway, driven by payer friction, high deductibles, LOE pressure, and patient demand for simpler access.
- AI’s near-term value is in reducing access friction. The strongest use cases are PA automation, benefits verification, workflow orchestration, and patient support optimization, not abstract AI hype.
- Patient support is shifting from hub enrolment to connected care. Asembia reinforced that first script is not enough; brands need digital plus human support that helps patients start, stay, and persist on therapy.
- Cost clarity is becoming a commercialization advantage. Upfront Out-of-Pocket visibility and clearer affordability pathways can reduce abandonment and build confidence at the point of prescribing.
